The Travail

traveling loosens you up, its kind of a stress buster. my family is one among the many who travel around very much. once in a month or year we go places which sometimes may be outside the state but usually within Kerala itself. we have gone to so many places that i can't even remember all the places that i have visited. traveling for me is like a ritual now which I have started from my childhood days..
                               And during this holiday we visited a beautiful place called Illikal kal which is now become a hot tourist place especially for roadies. Illikal kal is situated in Kottayam near to Melukav (PS: You would remember this place better from the song "barbar am balan" of the film Kadhaparayumbol). The travel this destination is really scary because of the steep roads and the even scarier hair pin bends. But all the effort to reach the top is not wasted as the amazing view is a treat to the eyes. My father used to say his experience of going there in his childhood times, the long walk from their home to llikal kal to visit their relatives. Indeed this trip meant a lot to me as I was able to walk through the same roads that my dad used to go as a child....
