FAREWELL

"Goodbye" is such a simple word.
But gets how hard to say;
As it is so difficult to think of
The beloved to be far away.

Loving words and sweet memories
Are all that remain
And looking back into the happy moments
Only gives way to pain.

Those days filled with laughter
Are now just memories
And we rejoice in remembering
Our life's bygone victories.

But life does go on
With me and happiness face to face,
Till another cherishing memory falls my way
I'll think of those happy days...
