I HAVE A DREAM
The first women ever to fly in space was Russian cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova, who launched into low earth orbit in 1963 abroad the Vostok six capsule . Many remarkable women have travelled into space -
Sally Ride,who was celebrated as the first American women and youngest American astronaut to travel into space.Ride was the first person to use the robotic arm to retrieve a satellite and the first women to use the arm in space.
Life in space is full of risks -astronauts have to deal with radiation,possible vision and boneloss and a huge range of other challenges and men and women are affected differently. Because we fly fewer women ,scientist know less about how they respond to life in zero gravity.
Dr. Kalpana Chawla was the first Indian women in space and also the first Indian American astronaut . She had the determination to become an astronaut and that made her persue many degrees in her field. Her first flight to space was on space shuttle Columbia in 1997 as a mission specialist.Unfortunately ,in 2003,Kalpana Chawla was apart of the space shuttle Columbia disaster and lost her life.
"My space expedition has changed my perspective towards people. Looking down at the earth,we could not see boarders or people with different nationalities.It was then that realisation dawned on us that all of us are a group of human beings and citizens of the universe"

I have a dream ,a dream not to be in space but to be in our society.I want to serve my society to the extent it is possible for me. Kalpana Chawla is iron lady for me who makes her determination to true even though facing obstructions from her parents,friends, neighbourhood and society. I know many ladies who lock their dreams in almiaraha and simply acting like a proper wife . Do you know what the reason is 'they are afraid about their surroundings'.
If you are a girl and if you have a dream please don't lock it for anybody.
hoping that the doors will open and we could fly out like fireflies by spreading light as much as we can..............
